: Animals were procured from Vyas Labs, Hyderabad, India. All experimental procedures involving animals were approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus (Animal Facility Registration no. 1912/PO/RE/S/16/CPCSEA), and were conducted following the guidelines laid down by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The study was approved under Project Registration No.-BITS-HYD-IAEC-2020–31. All surgical procedures were performed under anesthesia as per the Institutional IAEC protocol, and efforts were made to minimize animal suffering and to reduce the number of animals used.
