Ethics committee approval was not required for this study as this study was a real-world analysis, and therefore deemed to not qualify as “human subjects research”. All CareLink™ Personal account holders are proactively asked to provide consent for the use of their de-identified data by Medtronic for research purposes. Users who did not provide consent were excluded from the analyses, and all data were analyzed only after de-identification.
