All patients and their families participated voluntarily and signed informed consent forms, and the study was performed in accordance with the Helsinki II Declaration. Informed consent was obtained from all the study subjects before enrollment. This trial was not registered prior to enrollment of the first patient as it was initiated before mandatory registration policies were fully implemented in our institution for non-drug trials, but all ethical approvals were obtained.
