: All Institutional and National guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed. Both female (for in vivo survivability, biodistribution, tumor regression and sub-chronic toxicity studies) and male (for in vivo sub-chronic toxicity study) BALB/c mice (4–6 weeks, each animal weighing 18–20 gms) were procured from CSIR-IICT Animal House Facility, Hyderabad, India. All animal experiments were performed strictly following animal ethical protocols (IICT/IAEC/091/2022), (IICT/IAEC/069/2023) approved by Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (IAEC) of CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad [Registration No. 97/GO/RBi/S/1999/CPCSEA, dated 1-Oct-2015]. It abides by the guidelines provided by the committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA).
