:
: Animals used in our study were legally harvested by licensed fur trappers in the Yukon (Canada) on permitted and registered trapping concessions. Licenses and permits to these fur trappers were issued by the Government of Yukon under the statutory authority of the Yukon Wildlife Act. The authors used only carcasses voluntarily obtained by licensed fur trappers as a byproduct of their harvest, and as such did not capture or handle any live animals for this study. Several authors were permitted to do this work as wildlife officials listed to possess and handle wildlife for research purposes under the statutory authority of the Yukon Wildlife Act.
: The authors declare no conflict of interest.
