: The research article entitled “Investigation on Computational, Hirshfeld, Surface Morphology, Thermal, Shock Damage Threshold, and Phase Matching Properties of an Iminodiacetic Acid Single Crystal for Second Harmonic Generation” contains systematic studies about the various molecular, optical, mechanical, and crystal growth patterns of iminodicaetic (IMDA) single crystal. In this article, we are reporting the DFT computational analysis, Hirshfeld surface morphology, different fingerprint plots, surface morphology by etching, laser damage threshold, and shock damage threshold of the crystal for the first time. Including all these characterizations, we are also reporting the thermal behavior of iminodiacetic acid single crystal in this article. The second harmonic and phase matching angle of the grown single crystal was carried out by generating a new double frequency light to the fundamental. To our best knowledge, all the properties of the crystal were studied for the first time except its thermal behavior. All these findings show IMDA crystal is a suitable material for nonlinear optical applications.
