: Patients provided informed consent for the use of their anonymized and aggregated data for research and publication in scientific journals. Data were collected in such a way that patients and dermatologists could not be identified directly; all data were aggregated and de-identified before receipt. Data collection was undertaken in line with European Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Association guidelines [], and did not require Institutional Review Board/Independent Ethics Committee approval. The AA Disease Specific Programme was issued an ethics exemption by the Western IRB (study protocol number: AG-8446). The DSP was performed in full accordance with relevant legislation at the time of data collection, including the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act legislation []. No new surveys were sent out to patients as part of this study.
