: All procedures and perioperative care of the experimental animals complied with the “Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals” and Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament concerning the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. Euthanasia was performed in accordance with the Convention on Experiments on Live Vertebrate Animals and adhered to all relevant legal regulations concerning animal protection and welfare, including Law No. 9 of January 11, 2008, on Animal Protection, and Decision No. 19 of July 1, 2011, issued by the National Council of the College of Veterinarians regarding the “Guidelines for the Euthanasia of Animals.” This study represents the final phase of a research project conducted at our university and was carried out under a protocol approved by the Ethics Committee of the”George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mures, with approval no. 131/21.10.2016.
