: This study was conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki Principles and after permission from the Ethics Commission of the Canton Zurich, Switzerland (BASEC request No. 2018–00269, BASEC No. 2024–01972). Human abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue samples were collected from healthy individuals born between 1965 and 1992 at surgical fat liposuction, regardless of gender. Human foreskin samples were obtained from the Department of Surgery of the University Children’s Hospital Zurich. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants or their legal guardians.
