: Informed consent was obtained by PWHIV before participating in the HIV-1 Seroconverter study. Ethical approval of the study was granted by the Ethics Committee of the Charité University Medicine Berlin (EA2/024/21). Data from PWHIV of the ClinSurv-HIV study between 1999 and 2018 were collected anonymously in compliance with the German Infection Protection Act (IfSG, 2001) and approved by the RKI data protection officer and the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Thus, informed consent was not required.
