: This study adhered to the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was obtained from the ethical committee of the Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia for both patient recruitment for the initial study (No: KET-268/H2.F1/ETIK/2014) and the use of medical records and fundus images for the current analysis as part of the larger study (No: KET-850/UN2.F1/ETIK/PPM.00.02/2022). No informed consent was deemed necessary by the ethical committee because of the retrospective nature of the study. Confidentiality of the data was guaranteed as the data were anonymized for research purposes.
