: According to the policy of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the Singapore National Eye Centre, IRB approval was not required for retrospective audit of a single surgeon’s (G.C.) outcome. Our IRB considered the activities in this work an audit of clinical outcome, which does not meet the definition of research activity.
