: The blood samples used in this study were obtained post-mortem from chickens slaughtered for commercial purposes at a registered slaughterhouse. As per Directive 2010/63/EU, which regulates the use of animals in scientific procedures, ethical approval is not required for the use of animal by-products, such as blood, collected from animals slaughtered for non-research purposes. The animals were not subjected to any additional procedures for the purposes of this research.
