: This research study was conducted retrospectively from data obtained for clinical purposes. We consulted extensively with the Ethical Committee of Hospital Policlinico of Bari who determined that our study did not need ethical approval according to Italian law. In any case, data for all patients were recorded anonymously and managed following the Italian requirements regarding the privacy protections and in accordance with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration (and its amendments).
: When dalbavancin or other antimicrobials were prescribed for indications different to those approved by the European Medicines Agency, patients provided informed written consent before their use.
