: Zephanie Tyack, Megan Simons and Roy Kimble contributed to the development of a PROM, the Brisbane Burn Scar Impact Profile (BBSIP), that was used in the study setting prior to the study. The BBSIP was one of several PROMs that were the focus of the broader study this work was part of. This may have had an influence on the positive perspectives of ePROMs at the commencement of the study by these authors. Zephanie Tyack was chair and co-chair of the Child Health Special Interest Group, International Society of Quality of Life during preparation of the study manuscript, which has a strong focus on the development, use and evaluation of PROMs. Work from the broader study was presented online at the International Society for Quality of Life conference and special interest group meetings during the study period. Queensland University of Technology supported Zephanie Tyack’s attendance at the International Society of Quality of Life Research conference financially during analysis of the findings.

: Data may be made available upon reasonable request where that request aligns with the conditions of the original ethical approval. Additional ethical approval may be required to access the data.
: Zephanie Tyack, Megan Simons and Roy Kimble contributed to the study conception and design. Material preparation and data collection were performed by Zephanie Tyack and Emma Hartshorn. Data analysis was performed by Zephanie Tyack, Jessica Killey and Megan Simons. The first draft of the manuscript was written by Zephanie Tyack and Jessica Killey, and all authors commented on subsequent versions of the manuscript. All authors read and approved the final manuscript.
