: The Modelling Integrated Care for Diabetes based on Observational data (MICADO) model was originally developed within Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM; The Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment), and main developers were Rudolf Hoogenveen from RIVM and Amber Van Der Heijden from Amsterdam University Medical Center, funded by ZonMw (The Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development).
