: The institution of the Italian multicenter HypoparaNet database was approved by the Local Ethical Committee of the Coordinator Center in Florence (Comitato Etico Area Vasta Centro (CEAVC), Florence, Italy) [study reference number: 10641_oss]. All the enrolled patients signed a specific informed consent form before their baseline data were retrospectively and anonymously retrieved by their medical records and collected in the HypoparaNET database. All collected data were managed and analyzed accordingly to the Declaration of Helsinki.
: All procedure followed in this study were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (Comitato Etico Area Vasta Centro (CEAVC), Florence, Italy. Study reference number: 10641_oss) and with the Helsinki Declaration of 1964 and later version.
