: Tommaso Durante, PhD in Media and Communication (RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia). He is the author, designer, and archivist of The Visual Archive Project of the Global Imaginary (2007—). He holds the position of Lecturer in Media and Communication in the School of Culture and Communication of the University of Melbourne, Australia. Durante is a mid-career researcher in Globalization and Mediatization. His research focuses on the relationship between media aesthetics, global ideologies, and symbolic systems, particularly in relation to sociopolitical and cultural issues and on questions concerning the construction of the global imaginary.
