: This study led to the development of a new module for soil erosion simulation in the hydrodynamic numerical HydroAS model. The soil erosion approach is available in the literature and can be coupled with other models. The development and distribution of the HydroAS model is managed by Hydrotec Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, where AY works as a managing director with business and financial interests. However, no financial benefit was gained from this study. The funders had no role in the study design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation, writing of the manuscript, or decision to publish the findings.
