: Ethical approval and informed consent were not required in Belgium due to the retrospective and anonymous character of the extracted data. The anonymization, use, and free movement of personal data were conducted in compliance with the European Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”). Furthermore, the database used for the study has in-built anonymization processes, managed by a trusted third party. This guarantees that the raw data and final deliverables cannot be traced to an identifiable patient.
