: The authors report no conflict of interests.
: The review was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO; registration number: CRD420251056946). The preregistration originally specified the study design as a systematic review with a planned meta-analysis. The primary hypothesis stated that family conflict is association with increased risk of problematic digital media use. The target analyses included meta-analysis to estimate the pooled effect size, along with planned moderator analyses. Due to substantial methodological heterogeneity, coupled with insufficient study numbers in several subgroups, the review was adapted to a narrative synthesis. Core elements of the preregistered protocol, including the search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and data extraction framework, were retained.
