: All procedures performed in studies were under the ethical standards of the practice at which the studies were conducted. Efforts were made to minimize suffering and reduce the number of specimens used, the fish were anesthetized, captured, sorted, weighed, photographed, and then released back into their aquatic environment. Fish that perished during the sampling process were stored at a temperature of 4 °C and subsequently brought back to the laboratory. Thereafter, they were preserved in 10% formalin and transferred for this study at the Natural History Museum of Marrakech, Morocco.
