: The study involved the collection of free-living marine invertebrates (Polyplacophora) from non-protected coastal areas of Greece. Invertebrates other than cephalopods are not covered under Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, nor under its national transposition (Presidential Decree 56/2013). Sampling was conducted in accordance with national fisheries and coastal access regulations, and no specific ethical approval was required under current Greek or EU legislation.
