Ethical approval: This study was performed in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Approval was granted by the Ethics Committee of Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Date: 27-03-24/No: 22).
Consent to participate: Patients were duly informed about the possible use of their teeth for research purposes, and consent was obtained at the Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Implantology, and Radiology, School of Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. However, the teeth are stored collectively, making it impossible to identify the individual donors of the samples we received. As a result, we cannot obtain the signed consent of each donor, since their identities are unknown and they cannot be directly linked to this study.
