: This study did not involve any harm or sacrifice of animals. Only non-invasive fecal samples (animal waste) were collected for the examination of MPs. Ethical committee approval was not required as all sampling was conducted exclusively within buffer zone areas. Prior to sample collection the necessary information and authorization were obtained from the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.
