: Maker education is finding its way to the school curriculum, and there is a growing interest in informal STEM-learning. The findings presented in this contribution are interesting for educators and researchers in the field of STEM education, who want to implement maker education in their practice, both in and outside school. In particular, the study provides a self-evaluation-tool to assess children’s experiences in a makerspace.
