: All hospitals are required to report data to DANFRAIL for all acutely admitted patients aged ≥ 80 years. According to Danish Law, national clinical databases hosted by DHQI are authorized to extract data from patients’ electronic health records without individual patient consent, as the data is used exclusively for quality improvement purposes (Sundhedslovens § 196, stk. 4—law nr 546, dated 24.06.2005/law nr 603, dated 18.06.2012).
