: This study is based on data from the Quebec Incidence Study concerning cases investigated by child protection services in 2014 (QIS-2014), which received ethics certification from the CIUSSS-CSMTL and in which the participants (child protection workers) provided their informed consent to participate. This study falls under the original mandate of the QIS-2014, and the lead author was added to the CIUSSS-CSMTL ethics certificate. In addition, the lead author received an ethical certification from her institution (INRS).
