: The handling and biological safety test of the fishes was carried out following the existing laws/acts in India. Our study followed the guidelines set by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), under the Ministry of Environment & Forests (Animal Welfare Division), Government of India. The study was approved by Institutional Ethics Committee (IAEC) of College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (I), Tripura, India. Approval Letter No. CAU-CF/48/IAEC/2018/06, dated 30/10/2023.
