: The sapota variety PKM-1 used in the present study was developed and released by the Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Periyakulam. All experiments and analyses complied with the research and ethical guidelines established by TNAU. The plant material was obtained from officially recognized and documented sources within the institution's research programs, adhering to proper collection, handling, and characterization procedures. The research activities, including the GC–MS analysis and phytochemical screening of sapota PKM-1, were duly approved by TNAU's ethical committee for agricultural research. As a member of TNAU and a researcher affiliated with the Horticultural College and Research Institute, the corresponding author is fully authorized to utilize and analyze the sapota variety PKM-1 for scientific purposes aimed at characterizing its biochemical and phytochemical properties.
