: The plant material (ripened fruits of Terminalia chebula) used in this study was purchased from a local market and was not collected from the wild or any protected area. Therefore, no specific permissions or ethical clearances were required for the procurement of the plant material. Identification of the plant material was confirmed by Dr. A. Matta Reddy, Associate Professor, School of Life and Health Sciences, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram. Since no human or animal subjects were involved in this research, no ethical approval was required for the experimental procedures.
