: Emotional intelligence, coping and resilience are crucial for adolescent development, particularly in navigating challenges and adapting well to adversity.
: This study was performed in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Approval to conduct the research was granted by Swinburne University Human Research Ethics Committee (Reference number 2016/280).
: Parents were informed of the study first and asked to provide consent for their child to be invited to participate. All students meeting the inclusion criteria with parental consent were invited to participate. Consenting participants completed an online survey in a classroom setting, supervised by a teacher.
