: The study was a single center, three-arm, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, crossover clinical trial, and was designed in accordance with the principles set out in the Declarations of Helsinki and Tokyo for humans. The clinical trial was held at the Clinical Hospital of Curitiba, affiliated with the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil), and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Health Sciences Sector of Universidade Federal do Paraná, under number 41861114.6.0000.0102. The study was included in the Brazilian registry of clinical trials (RBR-4n26tf). All information collected from patients was kept confidential; only the study researchers had access to it. The reporting of this trial was performed in accordance with the CONSORT statement and its extensions.
