: The ethnobotanical component of this study consisted of non-invasive interviews with community-recognized experts and did not involve the collection of personal or sensitive data. In accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, all participants were informed of the study objectives and gave their verbal consent prior to the interviews. In accordance with local regulations, this type of observational research is exempt from formal approval by the institutional ethics committee. Plant collection was carried out with official authorization granted by Servicio Nacional de Bosques y Fauna Silvestre del Perú (SERFOR, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation), authorization code AUT-IFL-2020–004, issued for scientific research purposes in accordance with the Forest and Wildlife Law (Law No. 29763).
