: There were no experimental procedures or interventions performed. All methods in this study were carried out in accordance with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations. Thus, the research methods and ethical issues were reviewed and approved by the Research Committee of Sociology Department at Debre Markos University a letter issued on February 8/2024, with the reference number Soci/15/2024.

: All authors confirm that the work ‘adaptive livelihood strategies of evicted peri-urban farmers around the metropolis city of Debre Markos’ is original and has not been published before, and it is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. : Every participant in the study gave their informed consent to take part. Hence, ethical considerations were considered and rigorously followed throughout this study. Thus, informed consent was obtained and all research participants involved voluntarily. Besides, all participants’ confidentiality and privacy were strictly maintained throughout data collection and analysis.
