: Plant sample collection was conducted with permission from the Natural Resource Management Office of the Dire District administration in the Borana zone. All collections complied with Ethiopian national forest utilization and conservation guidelines. We also adhered to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) policy and relevant legislation.
