: I hereby declare for all due purposes that the research “Impacts and Mitigation of Environmental Damage Caused by the Environmental Catastrophe in Southern Brazil,” coordinated by Dr. Eliana Andréa Severo and Dr. Prof. Julio Cesar Ferro de Guimarães, was evaluated by the RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE (CEP) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), meeting the criteria of Resolution 466/12 (CEP/UFPE), Resolution 510/16 (CEP/UFPE) and Law No. 14,874 Brazil (May 28, 2024) and this research, and the need for ethical approval was waived by the ethics committee (CEP) of UFPE, because this research does not present risks arising from the participation of people, as it does not involve any physical or psychological manipulation of human beings. The survey was applied to people over 18 years of age, and respondents declared that they were aware of the FREE AND INFORMED CONSENT FORM.
