: Evaluations of our supplemental curriculum in this study used aggregated and unidentified student survey and grade data. This human subject research has been approved under exempt status from Coppin State University IRB and Johns Hopkins University Homewood IRB (Study #: HIRB00018798).
: Participation in surveys and extra credit assignments were optional. Students were given an oral statement confirming that their participation was voluntary, and that lack of participation would not negatively influence their academic standing in the course.
