: This study involved human research participants and was conducted in accordance with established ethical standards. Ethical approval was granted by the University of Mauritius (UoM) Research Ethics Committee following the review of the amended application for ethical clearance dated 20 August 2019, which addressed the views and comments of the Committee. The approval covered the MPhil/PhD research project entitled  “Design of a User-Friendly Smart and Assistive Kitchen for the Elderly.”  All research procedures were carried out in accordance with the ethical guidelines, regulations, and requirements of the University of Mauritius Research Ethics Committee. Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the University of Mauritius (UoM) Research Ethics Committee following the review of the amended application for ethical clearance dated 20 August 2019, related to the MPhil/PhD research project entitled  “Design of a User-Friendly Smart and Assistive Kitchen for the Elderly.”  The research was conducted in accordance with the ethical guidelines, regulations, and standards of the University of Mauritius Research Ethics Committee. Informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to their inclusion in the study. Participants were fully informed about the purpose of the research, the procedures involved, potential risks and benefits, and their right to withdraw at any time without any consequences.
