: The <i>Clitoria ternatea</i> (Asian Pigeonwings/ Bluebellvine/ Blue pea/ Butterfly Pea) is a budding vine of the Fabaceae family with its native Southeast Asia and is widely distributed over the tropical and sub-tropical areas around the world. It has been widely used in Ayurvedic and Chinese therapeutics; is experienced to have anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties being rich in flavonoids. The petals of freshly collected <i>Clitoria ternatea</i> are separated and sterilized with deionized water. The extraction process complies with local or national guidelines.

: The petals of freshly collected <i>Clitoria ternatea</i> from random local surroundings (12.0972<sup>0</sup> N, 75.1934<sup>0</sup> E) of Kerala state in India are used for the study. The plants are locally grown and available in the home gardens and surroundings all over the state.
