: The banana plants used in the present study were collected from the Tekeze area of the Tigray region in Ethiopia. Mr. Higus Gidey Welegebreal, one of the authors, carried out the collection. As a member of Mekelle University, the authors are fully authorized to collect, characterize, and improve local banana resources through treatment and testing for textile applications. The collection process adhered to all applicable local and national guidelines, with no need for further affirmation. All testing was conducted in compliance with Mekelle University's research ethics guidelines.
