: The Calamus tenuis plants used in this study were collected from naturally growing stands along the Burhi Dihing River, Naharkatia, Assam, India. The species was identified and authenticated by Dr. Nilamjyoti Kalita, Department of Botany, Gauhati University, Assam, India. The collection was conducted in compliance with local, institutional, and national research guidelines. As Calamus tenuis is a common species classified as ‘Least Concern (LC)’ under the IUCN Red List and is not protected under CITES, no specific permission or licence was required. A herbarium voucher was not prepared for this study.
