: This study complies with the ethical guidelines for research on human beings established in Resolution No. 008430 of 1993 of the Ministry of Health and the Declaration of Helsinki of the year 2000. It is a minimal risk research study and was reviewed and approved by resolution CBE02_2022. By University of Manizales. The names of the participants in the study were kept strictly confidential. In cases where health risks were identified, it was communicated to the municipal program to activate appropriate care pathways. Likewise, efforts were made to respect the ethical principles put forward by certain Indigenous groups and one of the authors is the leader of the community. Aspects were taken into account to conduct culturally safe research, including that colonization, extractivism and discriminatory policies have created a context of ongoing trauma and high rates of mental health problems in Indigenous peoples. Also, that Indigenous peoples around the world have been prevented from maintaining sovereignty over data collected about them. Therefore, it is important that they have the right to autonomously decide what, how and why data is collected, accessed and used. Written informed consent was obtained from the parents. All participants signed the consent or informed assent to voluntarily accept the construction of the route and the study.
