: The Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REK) of Mid-Norway (ref. 10243) and Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (SIKT) (ref. 615934) approved the data linkage and storage procedures required for the quantitative phase of the study. This project has also made a Data Protection Impact Assessment—DPIA, which was approved by Nord University. The second phase of the study, including a semi-structured interview guide used for qualitative data collection, will be approved by the aforementioned required authorities before the data are collected and analysed.
: Consent to publish findings in stage 2 of this Registered Report will be granted by Nord University and HUNT Research Centre (NTNU) prior to full manuscript submission. All HUNT4 respondents in the quantitative phase (Phase 1) of the study have provided informed written consent. In Phase 2 a written consent given by the respondents from the interviews will be obtained prior to data collection.
