: This study, titled “Exploring the Impact of ChatGPT on Academic Performance: The Role of Cognitive Engagement , Self-Efficacy , and Instructor Support” , was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was obtained from the Institutional Review Board (MU-IRB) of Mogadishu University (Approval Number: MUIRB/13/25/001). All participants were informed about the study’s purpose, procedures, potential risks, and benefits. Participation was voluntary, and participants (and their legal guardians, where applicable) provided written informed consent prior to involvement in the study.
