: The research study was approved by the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, following the standard operating procedures established by the Research Committee. The collection and use of plant materials (<i>M. frondosa</i> sepals) from the university premises were approved by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and the study complied with local, national, and international guidelines. The study involving human participants (sensory evaluation) was exempted from ethical approval by the Research and Ethical Committee of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. All panelists who participated in the sensory evaluation were adults and took part voluntarily. All methods involving humans were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations, and informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study.
