: In this study, a questionnaire-based survey was employed to investigate the experiences of smallholder potato farmers. The research and examination committee of Haramaya University evaluated and approved the methodology and questionnaire employed in the study. The study was conducted in accordance with the ethical guidelines established by Haramaya University. The research was performed in adherence to the principles outlined in the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its subsequent amendments, or with comparable ethical standards. All participants in this study were adult smallholder potato farmers in Ethiopia, aged 18Â years and older. Each participant gave informed consent to participate in the study. Vulnerable populations, including children, were excluded from the study. These precautions were taken in accordance with ethical guidelines for research on human subjects, ensuring that the rights and well-being of all participants were a priority.
