: The three ecotypes of Fragaria chiloensis subsp. chiloensis were collected in and around Nahuel Huapi National Park. The permit was issued by the National Parks Administration of Argentina (IF-2021-91742881-APN-DRPN#APNAC). The cultivated strawberry varieties were obtained by donation from the Patagonian nursery of Mr. Nicolás del Sel. All the plants were identified by Dr. Melina Chamorro. The voucher specimens were deposited at the Herbarium of the Chemical Ecology Group of INIBIOMA with IDs: MC1FC, MC2FC, MC3FC, MC1FA, and MC2FA. The collection of plant material, complied with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation.
