: The germplasm for the foxtail millet was procured from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Barpeta, Assam, India, and was developed by the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Gossaigaon, Assam, India. Similarly, the germplasm for the rice was sourced from local farmers of Barpeta and was developed by the Regional Agricultural Research Sation, Titabor, under Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat, Assam, India. Both germplasms were collected in July 2023. All procedures adhered to the University research ethics guidelines concerning the collection, characterization, and documentation relevant to this study.
