: The ethical clearance was reviewed and obtained from the Institutional Ethical Review Board at the University of Gondar with number of ethical approval VP/RTT/05/2923/2021 in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments. Written permission was obtained from Central Gondar City Zonal Health Office and each Kebele administrative office. Informed consent was obtained before data collection, and the study participants were aware of the study’s purpose, benefits, risks, confidentiality of the information, and voluntary nature of the participants in the study. At any time during the interview, the respondents were informed of their right to decline it. Data confidentiality was assured by making the data accessible only to the research team and locking the database with a password. In addition, the personal identifiers were not included in the data analysis. Participants found sick were referred to the nearby health institution for medical care. Clinical trial number is not applicable.
